Vision Statement
The language arts department at Beville Middle School is to prepare students to be effective communicators, successful students, and life-long learners.  We believe that enhancing communication skills is essential to empowering learners in all disciplines.

Mission Statement
The language arts program at Beville Middle School will engage students in activities designed to enhance reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.  Each student will be encouraged to actively engage in study, research, and the development of his/her skills as an effective communicator.  Faculty members will use appropriate teaching strategies to ensure that all learners are actively engaged in the learning process.  In support of this mission, all stakeholders will be encouraged to use the formal register and participate in collaborative activities that will enhance students’ roles in the global community, thus emphasizing diversity.
